Depth 12.8m. Boat dive.
Water temp 27C. Entered south end of the reef, not much life. More life e.g. Red Sea Banner fish, coral and shoal of Trumpet fish in the gully but whisked through too quick by the current to take descent photographs.
Viz 20m.

Spectacular reef down to 27m. Cave full of fish. Large angel fish, anemones and clown fish.

Boat dive. Saw a few schools of Tuna. Large Parrot fish, barracuda, white tipped reef shark  and morays. Lots of others. Excellent.

Depth 11.3m. What a great dive! Lots of fish around corals. Blue spotted Ray, blue triggerfish, white moray, loads of lionfish, huge jacks, a huge shoal of glassfish first like a sheet, single file but top to bottom, then swirling around and between us for ages.

Note: It looks like it hasn't changed since Mark Walton, Dogs breath Diver was there in Nov 1997 when he wrote "Fish everywhere, took 3 rolls of film Lion fish, butterflies, chromis, parrot fish, the coral pillars were absolutely brilliant, fan coral. Depth 11m."

Lots of Lion and turkey fish everywhere. Blue spotted stingray, turtle and Moray eels. One of the best dives ever. Great photos. Depth 9m. Viz 15m - 20m

Water temp 27C. Small cavern through Erg. Lots of small fish that are shy of the camera. A nice dive.

First dive in the Red Sea. The viz was excellent (20m) and there's more fish than I can log. So I won't try.

Depth 13.5m. Boat dive. Dolphins! Lots of brightly coloured fish around the Column. Also mirror and trumpet fish. A very enjoyable dive.

Thistlegorm - wreck

Thistlegorm pictures Dive 1

Stern: The sea is a bit rough on top but calmed as we reached the wreck. At this end you can see the anti-aircraft guns, tanks, wellys and one hell of a prop.

Dive 2

Bow : What a dive! We went right to the bow and worked our way back checking out the cargo holds as we went. Hold no.2 had a swim through over the Bedford trucks loaded with motorbikes through to hold no3. Very strong current as we left. Viz 20m.

Depth 12.4m. Boat dive. Saw flying fish and Dolphins from the boat. Blue spotted Ray hiding under a ledge. Giant Clam on the sea bed. Strong currents. Cave at 27m.

Boat dive. This is a crescent shaped reef with a cave. Spectacular reef, soft corals and fans everywhere at 5m. Clowns, stone fish, masked puffer fish. Depth 27.6m.
