As the warm current from Brazil in the north mixes with the cold Falklands current from the south it mixes a lot of nutriments. There are plump sea trout and many 19th century wooden ship hulks, five species of penguin, including the impressive king penguin; whales, dolphins, seals, including elephant seals. The Skepol Jason island has the largest Albatross colony in the world of 500,000. And they eat fish!
