Gozo is a fairly large island with lots of places to eat and stay. If you are going to Malta, make sure you spend at least a day diving in Gozo.

"Only done the Blue Hole & Inland Sea!? That means that you have only been here for a day trip! During the summer months we get inundated wiff divers from Malta but luckily for us they only know those two sites!! There are oodles & oodles of sites and sites to suit all levels of experience. I've been here for over 15 years & still seriously love the diving here. We have a greater number of  spectacular sites than Malta & do not dive around Malta cos we don't need to! Gozo is made of softer rock than Malta & as such has more dramatic under water scenery - caves, tunnels, drop off etc. Sites commonly dived = Reqqa Point, Double Arches, Calypso Tunnel, Washing Machine, St.Maria Point, Salt Pans, St Dimitri Reef, Cathedral Cave, Crocodile Rock, Xlendi Tunnel & Reef, Ta Cenc, Mgarr Ix Xini (once saw 5 seahorses on one dive here!), Xatt L-Ahmar, Xlendi Wreck, etc, etc!!!! MaltaPlant1.jpg (22092 bytes) If you like clear water and a variety of mosses and grasses this is the place for you. Some sponges and millipede things crawling along. Not much to see if you don't like plants. A dive to look and gently move along.

This is a really worthwhile dive and just 100 yards from the Inland Sea site. Walk over the granite rocks and into the water. There is a very large underwater arch at 13metres leading out to the sea. We followed the left wall and saw an octopus and many other inverts and a few really large groupers hiding.

This is an inlet through a large vertical slit in the cliff which allows the sea in, and small tourist boats out. There is a rocky beach and a small (ok) cafe. We followed the seabed out through the split at 20m then followed the left hand cliff. Plenty of small and plant life on the cliff but few fish.

Temp 18C. Depth 31.3m, but you could go over 50m if qualified..
