The first question most new divers ask is 'what was that fish?'  These pages were started to show the types of life to be found in the sea, some pictures and likely places to find them. We are always willing to show photographs, so any help you can give will be appreciated, credited to you and a link placed to your own site if you want it. It is free.

A few words of advice when you dive looking for them (and the first should be obvious): fish are creatures of habit but they do move, so you may not always find them in the same place. They act like we do and they follow their food or suitable water. Secondly, soft corals open when there is a current - so diving at slack tide can often look like diving a desert.
