Boracay Island. |
The temperature at Boracay Island at Christmas time is around 25-27. Easter, 27-30. Visibility, about 20 meters. Site names: various sites but the main ones are Yapak2 and the Camia wreck. I dove with Watercolours and I was very happy with Watercolours in Pulau Perhentian. |
Yapak2 |
is a deep dive to a wall. There is a shark cave at around 55 meters. Lots of aquatic life, sometimes sharks, mantis ray and an octopus. Corals are beautiful on top of the wall. |
Camia Wreck |
is a 25 meter deep dive. It was a sunken cargo boat and spacious enough to swim through
Lots of scorpion fish. Our pictures are at http://photos.yahoo.com/magicpudding Dive shop we used: Dive Gurus, http://www.divegurus.com Contact Info: Phone: +63-36-288 5486 info@divegurus.com. USS New York F4 Phantom El Capitano St Quintin |
Subic Bay is four hour drive from Manila. Lots of wrecks to dive. Visibility is an issue
and a real hit and miss for diving the USS New York. But there is the F4 Phantom plane at 44 meters and that has to be my
best dive yet. Lucky for great visibility and a very enjoyable deep dive. Other wrecks were the El Capitano, St Quintin. All wrecks have plenty of
aquatic live and corals in abundance. Our pictures are at http://photos.yahoo.com/magicpudding.
There is also whale diving and Johan can organise it for you. Great experience diving with the false killer whales.
Dive shop we used: Johan's Adventure Dive Center, Angeles City Subic Bay, Fax/Tel: 63(0)45-892-6852 Sportsaa@Mozcom.com. Johan the owner may be cold in the beginning but soon warms up to you. He took us on the F4 and was a fantastic guide. We also dove with Eddy and he showed us many things we would not have seen. |
