St Lucia is rich in marine life and has a wall extending down from the Pitons. It is also a mountainous island so be careful if you dive then travel.

Except for one day, all the diving was in the Soufriere Marine Management Area (SMMA).  It was typical Caribbean diving. Temp was in the low 80s as was the vis. Most dive sites had a bit of current, but all reef dives were drift dives so that did not matter too much.

The coral, sponges, and gorgonians were in good shape. We saw: reef fish, snake eels, sea pearls (which look like green grapes) and what the dive masters called spaghetti worms.
