Lake of Zug

Last updated by Robert Suter, E-Mail: suternetmail@datazug.ch.

During the whole year the lake of Zug is not more than 6C below 20 meters. During summer the surface can get as warm as 22 C. All the diving spots are on the east side of the lake. As it is cold and dark it is important to use dry suit in winter until end of June. Wet suit you can use from June to the beginning of October if you do not go deeper than 15 meters.

A lot of trees have sunk and are now lying in 40 meters like a Micado. A lot of fisher silk (fishing line) has been caught in them. So in the light of your torch it looks like a huge spider web.

Lake Zug

This is a famous diving spot where half of the town of Zug sunk in the middle ages. If you are lucky you can find a tree from that time which is standing upright and is going from 20 meters to 7 meters.
